You should try a custom cam since this is your daily driver. Custom would ensure great driveablility too. Or, if you're looking for a nicer sounding idle and a little more performance you could pick up an E 303 cam from FRPP. They're cheap, sound pretty good, but the technology is pretty old. You might get a 100 different opinions on this subject. Are there any other future mods you're considering? That will come into play with what cam you choose

well i have a air intake i am also going to put in headers with the rebuild
after tha rbuild i plan on getting a new intake manifold with a new trottle body that about it
one of my friends dad has a 86 gt and he put a cam without moding anything else he used this cam Ford Racing B303 have you i heard his car and it sounds good he only has a cam and headers and intake he also did something to the timing other that its stock you think that cam would fit in my car without any problem

If your not changing the heads then I don't see a real need to change the cam and if you have a roller cam the wear is almost non existent. The stock roller cam is 266°/266° duration, 0.444"/0.444" lift. If you want to add some lift I would get a set of extruded 1.7 roller rockers. I think you could/would benefit more from a set of those.
