331 stroker afr 185cc compression ratio staic should be 10.5.1 going to run N-71 cam and parker funnel web intake. What do you think ill make for hp?Im guessing im better off with the N-71 over the triclflow stage 2 cam?As in make most hp wise.

So my parker funnel web intake and n-71 cam i should beable to hit 400rwhp on a dynojet lol.

Are you still factory block? How much spray do you plan to hit it with?

LOL u never know ive seen 347s with bigger heads and higher lift cams than mine put down only 300RWHP on a dynojet..........im sure u have too, no guarantees alot depends on who builds it and matching the right mods together. Seems like u put together a nice choice of mods should make impressive power, only thing i would change out would be for a custom cam just a couple more bucks:shrug: easy for me to say:D im still using a factory block thats why im taking my time with NOS..... tough spot where im at hp wise cause if i came out around 300RWHP on the dyno i would hit it with a shot for sure, but my smallest shot in my kit is a 75hp shot gettin up there...........i plan on doing it anyway in the near future its all hooked up just need to get back on the dyno and have a nitrous program (less timing) on my 4 bank chip

Don't underestimate the Anderson Cams. They work really well. See sig. My old combo with the N-111 in my '84 made 433 to the wheels. I just pulled that engine and stuck in my '87 LX with a set of out of the box 192 Canfields , Anderson N-71 cam, Vic Jr, and 750 Holley. I'm guessing it around 400 to the wheels. I don't have any experience with the Parker Funnel Web intake though.

Yeah ive seen on streetfire.net a guy running a 331 efi and he was running a 175shot but hes got alot of videos of racing beating the hell out of the car with a stock block. It just pisses me off sometimes that ford had to make the stock block so weak.

Yeah im almost thinking about going custom cam i mean the N-71 is 300bux alone and i know must customs cams cost almost that.

You should pm me your suspension set up that launch was nice as hell to bad about it being stuck in gear.Or post it on here which ever thing looks like it really hooks.

No doubt Anderson cams are one of the best off the shelf!!, just hard to beat the way a custom grind can meet all the needs of a engine

UPR Anti-roll bar, QA-1 rear coilovers, UPR LCAs, Baseline suspension uppers, and UPR coil overs in front with crappy old 90/10 Lakewood struts. That was a 1.450 60'. Wish I could have ran out that pass. Haven't got to run the car since.

Any idea of the weight of the car?Mine is a 89 lx going to get a tubular k member and a fiber stock hood.wanna try to get it to weigh atleast 3k with me in it.What gears where you running?

It's around 3100 lbs, full interior, steel roll cage. It has the QA-1 tubular K with QA-1 control arms and a Cervini hood which is one of the heavier ones. Gears are 4:56s.

Ahhh those gears lol i know im gonna go to 4:10's at the very least im kind of thinking 4:30's so if for some reason i have to cruise at 65 ill throw on a tall tire maybe some 31's lol jk.

LOL, yeah, keep in mind though that was with the N-111 cam not the N-71. I was shifting the thing at 7,800. I have 4:10s in the '87 that the engine is in now with the N-71. I think it would probably like 4:30s a little better though.

damn 7,800 lol .Id need different heads to support that high rpm.But yeah i prolly will just go 4:30's i dont plan on driving it to the track but would be nice to cruise some spots around town with it.So basicly my set up and 100shot im on borrowed time?Would using block filler and only filling half way to the bottum of the water pump holes do any good?My colling system is up to par and im thinking about running on e85 as theres a e85 gas station like 1 block away from me thats open 24/7.So i think if i do fill the block and e85 would be a nice set up as you run cooler on e85 and with block filler thats a plus.

E85, isn't that ethanol?

Yes well 85% is ethanol and 15% is gasoline.Scratch that for got i had to get a carb or conversion carb kit.Id rather just run some 93 and keep a few gallons of race gas at home for when i spray it.

How r u getting the hydraulic roller lifters to spin to 7800 w/o floating? almost all sign off at 6500? R u using Sherman racing hydraulic lifters that r modified Morel lifters that act like a solid lifter after 6000rpm?

I forgot where i seen it on but there was a company site anderson or someone that spun a motor to 7400 with stock ford racing lifters and they held up.
