Hey guys, thought maybe some of you may be interested in seeing this. This is the entire list of every car that was traded in for cash for clunkers.
The Full List Of Every Cash For Clunkers Trade-In - C4C - Jalopnik

Page 8 and 9 are mustangs.
Doesn't give details as to which were 5.0's though.
Cash For Clunker Trade-Ins: Ford Crown Victoria Police Intercepter to GMC Vandura

"But be warned — Audi S4 wagons, armored BMWs, GNXs and other treasures were junked. Prepare to be devastated, car lovers."

"In just our cursory glance over the document we found a large number of USPS postal vehicles, a surprising number of cars newer than 2005, and a lot of Corvettes. What stood out for you? What are the most exotic trade-ins? The strangest? The most upsetting?"

I think it is surprising to see the amount of newer cars in there, considering people should have been able to get more than $4500 on a trade in for a newer corvette or 08 Mustang.

I'm happy to say I blew up 11 of the cars on that list somewhere. We did a mustang that I didn't even want to watch though. I'm glad the c4c crap is over though, it was such a ****ty idea

Yeah, I was reading that last week. I found a Vette, couple Jags, older Aston and a few Stangs on you tube being killed. :(
A 98 XJ that was in as great condition as that one really sux. There is even a GNX on there and a DB9 :nonono:

A bunch of first gen lightnings were cashed in, whats stupid is these people could have gotten more money for them, I've seen those lightnings go for 6000+. What a shame, and another a 2008 Mustang????

Record sales and thousands more jobs.

yep another band-aid on the economy, the new gov't policy should be spend a million to make $500,000

The actual cost per car was $7200 per car when all is said and done. And the jobs that were created will be dissolved as quickly as they came about. What the government and people in general should do is worry about working hard to get somewhere in life, instead of expecting handouts to solve everything. What have we become?? in the 50's the american dream was to work hard, raise a family, put food on the table, now it the american dream is how can i screw the system for all that its worth and live off of a settlement for the rest of my life.

Really? It did? Got any proof besides a short term burst? If anything it got more people into more debt. I guess the only good thing to say is that the money didn't go to the banks and rich like the rest of the money spent.... well then again the banks bennifited by more loans and such... but at least not directly into the rich man's pocket.

How does anything less than 5 years old qualify as a "clunker"? I really question the ethics that went on in that program. A lot of the info the gov't released on that program was misleading, too- like how they reported new car sales numbers in terms of drivetrain layout rather than actual model type, so an AWD Fusion was grouped in a different category than a FWD Fusion...

I have a great idea to rescue the economy...we could have the government go and break out all of the windows in all of the buildings! That would create lots of jobs in the glass industry and boost the economy! Too bad my grandkids will be paying for the 'new jobs' created....

Im with you on this one. And there is going to be one more short term burst for business. When the repo man starts having to go pick them up.

Really didnt mean to start an anti obama thread or call our president stupid, just thought you guys would be interested in seeing all the cars/mustangs that were clunked. I forgot everyone on stangnet was a republican.

I dont know why people think cash for clunkers FORCED anyone go out and buy a new car.
