Stangnet Gurus,
When the fuel pump is going out does the car jerk when driving sometimes, this happened last week, I drove it 4 days later with no problems. I got off work this morning and the fuel pump was not working, it normally hums when turning on the switch, but it was quiet today. I had the stang towed to the house, after getting it home, the car fired right up about 4 times. I only had about 1/4 tank of gas, is it possible the pump was frozen, it got down to about 15 deg last night? I will replace the pump from a stock to a bigger if this should be changed. Please give advice.

Fuel pump went out of my work van three days ago. I had to replace it in the parking lot. But it would shake and what not its last couple miles. But days before that the pump would stick and if I hit the gas tank the pump would un freeze. Did this a couple times, but other times started right back up. Sounds like yours is going to me.

I had one that would let the car start and drive but you couldnt give more than a 1/4 throttle or it would sputter and back fire. I put a fuel press gauge on it and it had 35 psi at idle but when you would rev it, the psi would drop until it ran out of fuel.......
