So there's a new "friend" hanging out with a bunch of my buddies and I. He seems to be really knowledgeable with engines and was telling me how quickly my blower (Saleen Stage 3 kit from Brenspeed) will destroy my otherwise stock engine. I'm not crazy with the car by any means, so how horribly will this thing affect longevity?

I was told that having the heads "pinned and studded" would greatly improve the situation...but I've never even heard of such a job...has anybody had any experiences relating to that?

Thanks guys!

In your Sig it says you're running 9.5psi. That is not all that much if the tune is right. The power though however will have an effect on longevity of the clutch, tranny under heavy use, and possible rear especially if you have sticky tires. Performance enhancements will prematurely wear drive train parts but that is the price you pay for performance, can't avoid it.

Yeah I figured its going to happen to an extent, this guy just took a much more alarmist approach to the whole thing. Not that turbos are bad, but I think this guy's a pretty hardcore turbo fanboy  Thanks for the reply!
