SCT X3 Help

Ok So I bought a SCT X3 from my friend who got rid of his mustang but he only had custom tunes for his....All I want really is the Canned 91 SCT tune...Anyway I can get this without unloading my wallet? Im going broke just buying the tuner lol

I'm pretty sure that a tuner is only good for one car. You have to give them a code off your car when you order one so they can program it for your car. you may be able to take it to a tuner to have them reprogram but not sure about that.

Go right to SCT's website. You can download the latest firmware, and their latest canned tunes. As long as your friend flashed back the stock tune, the tuner should be unlocked. You are allowed to change cars 5 times before the tuner permanently freezes. They have all the info on their website.

I wouldn't use any tune made for another car specifically. I'm not an expert on this, but i have read a bit on their website.

I looked at their website but All i see is there firmware...Are the canned tunes built into that?

You would want to do a firmware and a tune revision update. That is if its possible I'm pretty certain that if the tuner doesn't have the preloaded strategy tunes as an option on the tuner you cannot add them to it. If the tuner had them and uploaded the firmware to just use custom tunes, that is a one way update and you wouldn't be able to go back to having preloaded tunes.

I have not done it since mine came with pre-loaded tunes, but if you go to the website here (SCT Automotive Performance Products), you should be able to select "Device Tune Revision".
