I just got back from the dyno and what a suprise. The motor is realy a 344 4.03 bore x 3.375 stroke. It is only 9.3 compression with Cantfeild heads and .560 lift soild flat tappet cam around [email protected]. The motor reacted not as expected when we changed carbs. This run was with a 650 mighty Demon and RPM air gap with a 4 hole 1" spacer. When we changed to a quick fuel 750 the motor gained torque down low and lost hp? Tried a 800 Holley HP carb with the same effect. 650 Barry Grant was the best, Tried different spacers, open, clover leaf. and super sucker and all lost power over the 4 hole. Maybe it is the low compression? Who cares look at that torque curve and 465hp at 6300 and still climbing all with 9.3 CR.

Looks like a nice progressive climb, I wonder where the TQ would drop off at since it was still climbing @6300?
I just have a small BG625Jr. for now, it ran great on the stock 289, hope it can be dialed in to work as well on it now stroked to 333.
