i need to fix the horn on mine so it can pass safety. that and the drivers side mirror are the only things that failed, which i suppose is good considering....

where the horn pad would be is just a couple wires sticking out, with [i think they're called 'tab terminals' ] on the end. is there a way to rig it so it'll pass safety? i don't really care about having an operational horn, at least not until i do a full restoration on it.

is there a way to get it operational without a horn pad?

i'll try and upload some pictures later, thanks.

^ it doesn't seem liek that piece would work. i dont have the wide center wheel. this one just has a round center.
i'm guessing it just needs a round ground plate, and a horn cover. not sure though.

ok i was wrong, it's an after maket column/wheel. i grounded the wires out and the horn works, so now it's just a matter of findign a ground plate and cover for it. but at least it works from the wheel forward :D

well, for now i just bought a button im going to wire straight to the horn and place it on the steering column cover. i'll eventually replace the wheel, hopefully with an OEM one.

i also got some LED's to replace the lights behind the speedometer and other cluster. right now it's so horribly dim i can barely see it at night.

well i wired a button to teh horn, just gonna mount it on the plastic cover to the steering column. gonna replace the whole wheel eventually, since it's just a crappy aftermarket.

tried to throw some brighter led's in the dash, but for whatever reason they don't work. so stock dim bulbs until i figure out whats what.

are you sure they are installed/orientated correctly??? they only work with the +12 and ground on the correct sides............you cannot reverse them like you can regular bulbs......

i found this out when half of mine didn;t work.......

in fact, for some reason some of my lights were wired incorrectly from the factory (or some previous owner) i had to troubleshoot the entire dash with a volt meter and cut/splice to reverse some of the wires

i'll give it another try.
although a bright blue led kit for $27 sounds worth a try:)
