Have you guys with new cars been under them?

I am disapointed at the looks of the stock 5.0 exhaust. It looks like cats, H-pibe, mid pipe with resinators, muffler.
The machine welding is a thing of beauty.
Why are the resinators crushed? It really reduces the inside diameter to less than 2 inches. What is up with that?

I replaced the mufflers with the Corsa parts. The rest of the system looks like junk.

No wonder there are so many after market companys creating beautiful mandrel bent systems.

See the dent on the right resonator. I felt around the other one and the dent is on the top.

Beautiful welding!

Check yours RC
Im sure this is the factory setup.
I think it would be worthless to add the Corsa x-pipe and throw the exhaust into these restrictive mid-pipes.
Sure would like a nice mandrel bent piece.
I went with Corsa because of the "no Drone" feature..I enjoy GRAND TOURING... I want it perfectly quiet at two grand +/- 200 rpm. That is where I cruise on the highway. The sync features just blow me away. This by far is the nicest, most comfortable sports car I have ever driven!

Yes the resonators are "dented" from the factory, I have no idea why. However, the stock exhaust flows really well and a catback will net very little to no power increase I cant bring myself to spend $700 for sound only. Replacing the stock catted mid pipe will gain you power and sound, that is my plan.

Every cat-back I've seen nets between 15 and 25 HP at the wheels. Not huge, but it's some.

Catback gains are so minimal they just dont justify the cost. Only thing I think Im gonna do is an axle-back for sound......Roush, of course..

From what Im reading, in terms of power gains it's some with no cats, but mainly with Long Tubes. I agree on the axlebacks for the sound. I love my Steeda's Sound! :nice:
