Pioneer AVH-P3200dvd head unit

i just got this head and im not sure of the wiring harness i need or any other parts i might need. It has the shaker 500 system

You may wish to visit Crutchfield.com - they will tell you all you need to know? I have used them for many years and they offer great fitment advice, as welll as wiring harness adapters, steering-wheel control interfaces, etc etc. Hope this helps!

After seeing the OP, I looked it up on Crutchfield. You can get the correct harness, Sirius receiver, etc. from there.

i went to crutchfield put in 06 mustang with shaker 500 and it said that none of the wiring harness would fit

Let me check and see if I can find the part numbers I used, I have an 06 GT that HAD the factory shaker 500 and I put a Kenwood DDX-7019 touchscreen and navi into. And I didn't splice anything on mine, I always use harnesses. Let me check and I'll PM you if I find them.

thanks for the help i have another question i have seen where people say that there speakers pop when they put another head unit in so is there anything i can do or need to do to to fix the problem and also how can i bypass the cd player so it will play dvds while driving thanks

just ordered a kenwood kiv-700 a few minutes ago from crutchfield. i got the PAC C2R-FRD1 Ford Radio Replace Interface for $64 because i ordered the head unit from them as well, but it actually costs $125. but i think that is all you need. (i have an 06 gt with the shaker 500)

I was wondering about the regulator also, if you have this wiring harness do you still need the regulator? i don't think you do, but it's only a few bucks and i'd hate to not do it once i have everything out if it is going to pop.

i went to radio shack they sold me a metra 70-5521 wiring harness for 03-up Amp should this work or do i need the one from crutchfield

I think it will be different (not 100% though) but I don't think the 03+ mach 460 harness will be the same as the 05+ shaker 500 systems

Yes, you will need to install a 5 volt regulator on the amp trigger wires. The write up is here:

Also that Metra wiring harness should be the correct one.

You may also need a Metra 95-5812 Double DIN Installation Kit.
