Ok guys still having this issue with the backfire. I want to treat it like its not the tune first (although it might be) so i can get a better understanding of possible causes and go from there.

The Issue: When in neutral and i blip the throttle hard to wot i get a Loud pop noise seeming to come from the intake more then under the car. When the car is driving and i get on it at low RPM's it Bogs then backfires and it takes off like a bat out of hell.

Important Modifications:
306 flat top pistons
TFS hi Ports
Accufab 1 3/4'' Long tubes
Wolverine 1190 camshaft
24lb Injectors
24lb Pro M bullet maf
Quarterhorse, binary editor, EECA

What ive done so far.

Few months back:
Wires and plugs are new (wires have been shortened)
Checked plugs all good
checked compression 160-164 Across the board.

Yesterday:
Changed fuel injectors (i had one miss matched Read about it here: http://www.stangnet.com/mustang-for...solved-injector-related-pretty-cool-diag.html)
New Cap and rotor (found burnt terminal)

Other info:
Car runs great and sounds healthy other wise. However after a backfire last night it started to stumble. I think its because i had no gas in it. I put in 2 gallons and noticed a change. Im still going to compression test it this weekend to make sure its not hurt.

Car reads lean on the wide band but i failed emissions for high HC's. The wideband readings were unstable but since changing the injectors have gotten better.

I added 10% to my maf transfer to fatten it up and the problem persisted.

Goal: Formulate a plan of attack for this weekend when i go home to work on it.

if its poping in the intake that sounds like fuel and out of the pipes might be timing. have your checked your maf wires? they might be dirty and causing false signals which could possibly lean your fuel out . what is your initial timing set to?

Are you still running smog gear, EGR etc.? If so I was having a similar problem and also fail emissions test, due to high HC'S, after some trouble shooting, I found that the coolant temp sensor was bad causing EGR not to function and causing AFR ratio problems. No mil lights or codes set either. Replaced 24 dollar sensor passed no problem.
