I have a 91 LX AOD shifting at high rpm. It's typically shifting at around 3500 rpms and letting off the gas. It's got a new transmission that has been built up and has a "Transgo Full Race shift kit". TV Pressure has been checked by multiple ford mechanics and other mustang specialists and they say the transmission is working fine and that it's more than likely the shift kit causing the shifting. Somehow, I feel that it may not be the shift kit. It's a new transmission that was pre-built with high performance parts, so I don't think the governor or valve body is stuck in someway.
Will post a video soon of the issue for better illustration.
""If the TV cable is not connected the transmission will default to full TV pressure. If TV pressure is full shifts will only occur at the wide open throttle shift point, which is usually around 4900 RPM. This means that even at light throttle you would have to get to 4900 RPM to get a 1-2 shift." --Sounds like I have too much TV Pressure as this sounds about like my issue." - Baumann
Is there any truth to the above statement?...My cable is attached by the way.
