let's talk JPC in Maryland

When it came time for me to get my car tuned, I did extensive research to see where to take it. My car had NEVER been in a shop before (everything has been done by me and my friends) so this was a huge decision for me. After looking into a number of places, I ended up taking my car to JPC in Maryland because I thought these guys were good. I was wrong...they're not good, they are GREAT. After numerous problems with the car on the dyno (most of which were my fault), they got my car to crank out 547 hp to the wheels. Then they tuned it down for me to 500.8 hp to the wheels. The car is a monster and runs AWESOME. If you live in or near MD and are thinking of getting your car tuned...this is definitely the place to go.

I have always had great expieriences with them. They seem to always be willing to listen and offer help no matter what.
Just curious, what did they use to tune you car? Chip, or other programmer? Hopefully I will be able to take my car there soon for tuning. I am still researching PMS vs moates or some other way of tuning it.

They used a chip, i was looking at the pms also but after talking to justin you can really tell that he knows what hes doing. When i had nitrous on the car the tune was easy and i thought my car was fast but once i put the vortech on and had them tune it i see that my car was not as fast as i thought it was, now i know what fast is. You could spend 900 for the pms and mess with it for days or spend 900 with them and you know its done right and any problems are for them to deal with. They are great people to deal with

Is it sct? I also have a vortech s trim on my car. The reason I was looking at some type of program vs. the chip was because I never seem to be finished any project. I am always looking to change things as money allows. Is that something you discussed with them? From what I read before I believe they can change certain things at a discounted price vs. another whole dyno session with tune.

The chip they put in was whatever they carry instock i really didnt care what kind it was as long as it worked. They can go back and change things if i want and no its not awhole new dyno session so its cheaper but i cant see me changing anything. 90foxbdy you should give them a call and talk to them no matter if you get the car tuned by them or not they will point you in the right direction

Im going to take a ride up there hopefully in the next few weeks. Have to chase down a trans leak. Have about a quart of fluid on the ground. Right now I am in the middle of replacing the floor and seats in my boat. Hope to be done that project in the next week. Then wrap up the car and start on my basement.......
