Input on a crude setup for a 125 wet shot on a 88 sd car? I know to lower the timing down but what to? Running 14 degrees timing na, 190 fuel pump, motocraft sp's. Just bought the Nitrous Express (NX) 20421-10 wet kit.

Cool, will look into plugs.. Yea was thinking 10-12 on the timing side of things... Heard about the puddling/wet nitrous thing, but also heard that was a myth to some degree... never seen it happen on all the wet 125 shot cars in the past...

Basically fuel can/will puddle in the upper intake, but it shouldn't ignite because the intake itself shouldn't be hot enough. But if something hiccups, backfires, or goes wrong....it goes wrong badly lol. I've debated running a dry shot, but now with my 4.10 gears I'd be out of revs in 4th.

Rule of thumb for timing retard is 2 degree per 50 HP, so that would mean a 5 deg. retard for your car to start with. Better safe than sorry I always say. You can always bump it up (slowly) later, 1 degree at a time. Keep a close eye on your spark plugs. If the electrodes start turning blue you're riding on thin ice. Once again starting 2 ranges colder won't hurt you, better too cold than too hot. With the electronic ignition on the Stang they probably won't foul out on you.
