Well this is one of the cars ive always wanted! Saw the ad on craigslist and I never reply unless thy have a picture. But for some reason i sent an email to the guy. He sent me the pictures and I had to go see it. I ended up scoreing it for 1700 bucks. 5.0 5-speed. Not much rust, except the rear hatch is bad. And theres a dent in the hood. I have a stock hood from my notchback so i'll paint it to match. And I found a hatch on craigslist for 50 bucks. Other than that the rear bumper cover is cracked and has been fixed...poorly. And the dash pads kinda gross. But It seems to run pretty well. Im going to gather all the body pieces and paint the entire car. And throw my cobra wheels on it.
Here are some pictures:

Thanks guys! Well I still have yet to see it in daylight haha. As far as rear bumper covers and hatchs...Do 79-93 all fit? Trying to find an 86 hatch seems to be pretty hard. thanks

Very cool! Nice score for the money... PLEASE PLEASE keep it a 4 eye :D

Even a 93 hatch will fit, no problem. I would get a bumper from an 85-86 though, it's not the same bumper cover, it will look awkward. I'm sure you can find tons for sale online and checkout foureyedpride.com

Cheers and congrats

True story-get an 85-86 bumper cover from LRS or Mustangs Unlimited or CJ...something like that. LRS also has at least some of the body mouldings.

The only thing I'd tell you to look for would be some hatches were slightly off...

As far as this car goes, Im dont have a whole ton planned for it. Im going to keep it black, always wanted a black 4 eyed hatch. I also have my 86 notchback that im slowly working on. Very slowly actually haha.

I threw the car up on my lift tonight to give it a total looked over since picking it up. Someone awhile back undercoated it and it held up very well! The stuff they used didnt really dry so you can scrape it off. Underneith the coating is shiny black paint! Except for one tiny hole on the drivers side floor board, whih isnt a big deal.

Theres an awful oil leak that has covered the entire lower end of the motor and trans. So i'll clean it the best I can right now and over the winter yank the motor and clean and paint things. At that point i'll freshen up the motor and throw a cam in it.

While swapping rims tonight I noticed that the front wheels hit the struts. Are you supposed to use wheel spacers? Or I must have the wrong cobra wheels. I bought them from a kid off craigslist a few years back and never installed them, they were on his 91 gt and i didnt notice if he had spacers or not.

Thank you guys for all your input and nice words! I'll keep ya posted!
