I took my new car to the track over the weekend. I'm impressed with how it did for a stock Mustang. The handling was very balanced, slightly more understeer but you could get the car sideways pretty easily. I think I boiled the brake fluid after about 3 laps and the brakes were never quite the same after that. I ran a best lap time of around 1:27.6, but with better brakes I know I could have easily knocked a second off that time. For comparison my cousin was running 1:24.x in his KB Mustang with R-compound tires. My old car ran 1:31 with the stock 5.0 in it. I'll have my brakes fixed and possibly better tires for the next event there, so my goal for then will be 1:25 or faster.

Here's some pics from the event, and I'm working on getting all my videos uploaded.

that's awesome Mike. i can't remember, do you have the brembos on there?

No brembos because I couldn't find any cars that I liked with them. After I get new rims that will clear the brembos I will be installing them. For now I'm going to go with some Motul 600 brake fluid and brake ducts. Maybe some Hawk pads. I'm making my own brake duct kit and had everything ordered two weeks before the track day, but the ducts showed up 3 days before I had to leave and I only had one night to get it done. I tried but it didn't happen.
