Despite it not being the best financial decision, my wife and I decided to buy a new mustang. I was going to go for the base, but my wife talked me into the premium. We got the 2013 v6, white with the performance package and a bunch of other stuff almost a month ago. I love the car so far and have put 1000 miles on it. I was going to change the oil on it being the first and all, but the dealer said to wait 5k miles before the first. What do you guys think? The system check says oil is 92 percent, but I don't want bits of metal screw up my engine. I also got an extended ford warranty, but cancelled it because I didn't want to pay interest on another $3600. The dealer said it will take up to 2 months before the changes show up on my bill, which mean I'll have to pay interest on that without even getting protection from a warranty. Any way I can fight that and get the changes to go through sooner? Thanks for all the replies in advance.
