I have a basically stock 02 GT 5 speed with cai and exhaust. Ive been thinking hard about pulling the trigger on a Bama sct tuner from AM.
Will intall gears later on so it will come in handy.
After they take your specs into consideration they program your tuner with 3 programs correct?

Do i just plug in the tuner to the port and the tuner does the rest? Im not sure i want to mess with the settings myself.
How long does it take to install a tune?
In case something happens i can return the car to the way it was correct?
Lets say i want to run a 93oct tune, do i wait till i get a low fuel light then pump 93. Repeat the process another time to make sure the previous octane fuel is gone then install the tune?
Free tunes for life is great, how would i go about downloading new files? Plug it into the computer and download to the sct?
Does the stock tune ever get erased?

Sorry for the noob questions but never had experience with a tuner before.

Thanks

Yeah, if you get the Bama tuner (SCT XCAL 3) from American Muscle they give you 3 tunes. A street tune, a performance tune and a race tune. The race tune requires premium gas min of 91. Also they give you free tunes for life.

Yes, just plug the tuner in and it will install the tune. You can always go back to stock if you need to. It only takes about 15 minutes for the tune to install. Bama will send you updated tunes via email for you to download to the tuner and then upload to your car. It doesn't erase your stock tune. I'm unsure about the 93... I have only ever used 93 in mine so I'm not sure.

Make sure you run a full tank of 93 before switching to a 93 tune. It is also a good idea to back your stock tune up on your computer in case something happens. Whatever you do make sure your tuner doesn't get unplugged while flashing a tuning and also make sure your battery doesn't die. If either of these happen it can lock up your pcm (been there).
