I'm thinking of installing an Anderson power pipe instead of dropping my pulley size smaller. I've heard a few things about the installation that concern me. I've heard it requires a larger hole cut for the pipe to fit through the wheel well, which isn't so bad, but in the directions I read online, it says it will require the hood to be cut also. I've only heard this previously on 94-95's, but never on a new edge. Is this true for an '02 also?

Thank you! for me that would have been a deal breaker. I don't have an 8 rib yet because I don't have any slippage, but I was told it would be recommended if I dropped my pulley down another size. The power pipe seemed to be a more attractive option to gain boost as long as I didn't have to cut the hood.

Turns out I didn't need to make any alterations to the hood or the fender. Took a little work, but other than trimming the rubber sleeve between the MAF and the pipe, nothing else was required.
