strut choice ideas.

I am going to replace my struts and price and selection vary. I have a 89 vert. Kyb is cheap Bilstein is one I seen that I liked. My car is a weekend driver but I like cur es and a good ride. Would I be as happy with the kyb as say bilstein or others. Any revews ir ideas. and any ides on a good spring would not like to lower car much

Mods. Mm welded subframes, adj caster cambers, k member brace, strut tower brace. Rear shocks and arms next.

Thanks in advance

I have KYB adjustables on my '88 vert. I like them but I leave them turned up on "firm" all the time. I turned them down on "soft" a few years ago to see if I could tell the difference. I could tell the difference so the adjustable function does work .
My vert rides real nice and handles well with them combined with Saleen Racecraft springs.

I have Blue Tokico's on my SSC. I actually like those better than the KYB's. They seem like they offer more overall control. (And slightly stiffer)
I have the Eibach Pro-kit on my SSC. With my strut/spring combo that car rides like a two horse wagon and drives like its on rails.
(Just how I like it)

About the springs. I've ran FRPP B springs, Eibach Pro-kit, and of course the Saleen Racecraft springs.
Out of all those my favorite spring is the Eibach Pro-kit. Real nice slightly lower stance and a great handling ride.

Hope my little review helps.

Thanks guys. I have seen nothing but good about tokico blues. My 24 year old 74k miles set up bottoms out and damages oil pan. Dont want to fix pan till that problem is fixed! rear suspenson is next. I liked what I read about the frpp sprins dont want to lower much have 17 inch cobras

our 89 has the kenny brown extream matrix kit installed so when i did my struts and shocks and quad shocks i went with top of the line monroe the car is tight, real tight like on rails tight. and very stiff driving. hope after awhile it will loosen up. buddy in a newer vet an i were coming back from a car show in hannible mo we were cruisn 70 and decided to roll in a bit, at 140 in our stang it was nice smooth fun he decided to run on up and i ran for a bit but let up,he said we was at 149 when i let up he went on to 180 for awhile then let off. im not sure how much more our 89 had in it but it was doing ok, with them 2:73 gears she mighta gone a little more. at 140 the tach was at 3200

Love to hear comparison feedback. I am in the market for springs and struts also, but still working out the details on my disc brake conversion on my 86GT vert.

Thanks for the reply,
