Wow, thanks for the reply! That's great you still have the car. Mine is also a low k car; about 80,000 orginal km, but I'm consuming a ton of oil. I suspected the piston blow-by problems you were trying to diagnose. The car has obviously sat alot throughout it's life.
Like yours, all the compression tests came back within 1-2 psi of each other. It is leaking a bit at the rear main, but not enough to justify this amount of consumption. My wife was following closely in her car and observed it was blowing a bit of smoke when I had it at wide open throttle, but only a slight amount. She also couldn't be sure if it was blue, black or white smoke (she couldn't keep up in her Echo).
I did have a question though, by replacing your lines, do you mean you replaced your pcv lines? Like the line going from oil cap to throttle body & also the line going from pcv to upper intake?
