Hey everyone, new to stangnet, but not to stangs.
I have a 96 cobra vert with just over 84k miles and just recently stereo has to cranked all the way up just to hear it. I have sound coming out of all the speakers, but not sure whats going on here. Could the head unit be going bad, the CD player quit last summer, and the tape deck hasn't worked for a couple years now, not that i used it anyways. Im planning on getting a new head unit, but I would like to retain the factory amps for now. Could the amps be bad, or do you think its the head unit.
I have researched this high and low, and I haven't found any posts about sound volume problems, and it appears if the amps go bad, you loose sound all together.
any opinions would be great, thanks.
