Hi all, just got my 6th Mustang (not all at once, haha) - only have two currently.
a 2004 GT coupe 5speed.
Upon acceleration, it has a pretty loud whine that seems to go with the rpm of the engine, similar to what a blower would do, cept I don't have one, haha. - it stops when I push in the clutch and only does it on acceleration, not deceleration... really sounds like its coming from the front of the car, doesn't sound like a rear end...
I tried to take a video, but the audio wasn't good enough to pick up the whine, will try again.
it also makes an interesting noise when idling in neutral with the clutch out... stops when pushing in the clutch... (but this noise is very quiet and wouldn't pick up on a video at all)
What types of things am I looking at? transmission replacement?
thanks in advance for any thoughts.
