Figured I'd stir things up for him. A supercharger can be adapted to put out the boost necessary for a wide range of HP levels.
You can stay within the stock block limits.
I understand his point of building a suitable motor, first. We all know that stock e7 heads and a stock cam will only carry you so far. Gt40 heads and explorer intakes take things a little higher. Now.... a motor with HCI would produce more with boost than stockish combos.
That's my issue in my thread. My motor is built and with my turbo at 6psi I'll probably split my block.
Seems like he wants the motor to look as good as it runs, " major engine upgrade and major power increase".
Correct me if I'm wrong but he want power, beauty, and function.
I applaud him for not wanting to put some spray paint and aluminum valve covers on his motor and acting like its built....with a SC bolted to the intake.
A SC would gain a lot with the mods he wants to do. Building a foundation for boost is always better, even if its just a small bump over the factory 225hp.
