Stat housing leaking, Will this intake work

I have a 2002 Explorer with a 4.6. I am not really a 4.6 guy but did change the timing chains last spring. Looks like the stat housing is leaking and from what I have read it needs a new intake. Will this one work? http://www.americanmuscle.com/intake-manifold.html

Power steering pulley hard to turn?

I was spinning the power steering pulley today and it really doesn't turn that easy.. I can compare it to turning the supercharger pulley over.. Is that normal even at low rpm? I can see that eating up all sorts of HP. I wonder if mine is bad..

    Too much oil?

I have an after market oil pan installed on my new engine. I added about 5 quarts of oil. I noticed that the oil dipstick tube has an extender on it so the dipstick wont reach the oil and I can judge my oil level. I had a little bit of lifter noise a few month back (still do :( ) so i added a...

I have been running my new combo for about 3000 miles now. It is fairly strong, but I have noticed I am hearing some lifter or valve train noise. It is usually only noticeable when i am next to a wall or building. Is having any valve train noise acceptable? I am using performer heads with...

Resolved most of my surging idle problems

I was following the checklist for resolving the surging idle issue I had when I came across the culprit. My Performance Product throttle body doesn’t have the same air port as the IAC. I found that 90% of the IAC's flow was blocked off by the gasket. I ended up ditching the gasket and using...

New engine runs, but hear popping

I finally (With your help) got the distributor and timing all set in my new engine. It runs but the idle is crap, I blame part of this on the Cam I went with, based off of crane 222333 I think is the model #. (It was a custom grind and they changed some things because of the sc) I am...

I started my new engine, it ran very rough, and we noticed after about 30 secs it had no oil pressure. My helper also mentioned it looked like the dizzy was oscillating a bit. I pulled the dizzy out and everything looked ok. Is it possible that the end of the dizzy went along side the hex...
