    cut 5.0 springs

    I'm looking for real life experiences,please. I already replaced my rear springs with no apparent change in stance. My front springs of unknown origin are getting soft. I want to know how much to cut to maintain stock height with "new" stock 5.0 front springs. Thanks

    Inner tie rod

    Replaced my d/s inner tie rod today. Piece of cake. The roll pin is about 1/4 " long. I drilled it out and broke it loose with a 12" Crescent wrench.The NAPA replacement was tapped for a machine screw instead of a roll pin. $22 and a couple of hours. Removed the sway for access.     Nasty yellow h/l's??

    I spent about 15 minutes buffing mine out and they look almost as good as the new ones I put on my daughter's 91!! I used a polishing attachment on my electric drill and some fine polishing compound followed by a coat of wax. Incredible difference,maybe I can see at night now! :D

    Rack bushings

    Just replaced my mushy rubber rack bushings with Energy Suspensions urethane bits. Much improved feel!! Only $10.95 and about half an hour! :D

    p/s switch

    I'm getting a GT rack and poly bushings to replace my leaky junk. The rack comes with new lines and being from a GT doesn't have the switch on the p/s line. It should bolt up but what do I do with the switch? Cut the wire or connect it ? Leave it in there? THX;P
