    My V8 crank & rods are done...

    I'm workin on a V8 project on the side, to swap into the V6 in a summer or two. Got my crank magnafluxed and turned, and the rods are done too with ARP bolts. Rotating assembly is almost totally done, as soon as I order some pistons. :)

    Okay so this may seem like a stupid question, but should ALL the casting #s on every part of my engine match? For example, I just bought a 351W to work on. The block says D4AE, which to my research is a 1974 Galaxie. But the rods say D6OE, which is a 1976 Fairlane. So has this been...

    new toy...

    Look what I just got! Rock on. I have the whole shortblock, it's all disassembled and ready to go in for machine work. I'll be keeping a mostly stock bottom end, good cam and some good heads+intake and I should pull 400hp/400lbft pretty easily.
