    Compression question

    I was told that you could pretty much tell what a motor's compression ratio is by the numbers you get during a compression check. Is there a rule of thumb, or formula on this? I'm trying to determine which octane I should be using, got a small amount of clatter under load.

    Flywheels and flexplates

    I am changing back to my 4 speed, the C-4 has seen better days. The 77 was originally a 4 speed, and I never took out the pedal, so it's not going to be hard to change back, or so I thought! The shop that I took my RAD-4 to says that they can get the seals, synchros, and bearings no problem...

    Oil shooting out of your dipstick can't be a good thing. it's coming out the breather as well. knocking noise from the lower end at 40mph accompanies this. :bang: :bang: :bang:
