    What gear do you finish the 1/4 mile in?

    I'm finishing at the top end of 4th gear with 3:55 gears and 26" tires I'm shifting with the shift light set at 5500. I'm thinking that I might do better with 3:27 or 3:08 gears. I like to see where others are running and what gear are they finishing in.

    Setting the valve lash with new lifters?

    I built a 408W from all new parts. I soaked the lifters in motor oil for a day. I still can pushdown the plunger on the lifters with my finger. Should they be pumped up with oil prior to setting the valve lash? If so, would running the oil pump with a priming rod and a drill pump them up?

    I'm putting together a 408W. I'm just about ready to install the Vic jrs. I'm thinking about going with head studs rather than bolts. Is there any problem pulling the heads once the engine is installed with the studs???

    I just bought a Quicktime RM-6065 bellhousing to put behind my 408w. I can see already there won't be a issue with the long tube headers. It is very well made. It's a top quality piece made in the USA. I recommend Quicktime for anyone who needs a safety bellhousing.

    Water pump outlet with a Victor 5.0

    I'm installing a Victor 5.0 intake and it has no port for the heater hard lines. I'm not running heat anyway and need a way to block off the heater port on the water pump. It's the larger of the two outlets. This image of a pump is not the correct one. [
