Engine assembly???

Put the main and rod bearings together with engine oil or assembly lube???

I have put them together with engine oil in the past but I refered to the Hayne Ford Engine Overhaul Manual for torque values and they show a crankshft going in with assembly lube. I do my camshaft that way.

My rings are gaps and I'm about to start.

i use lube. prime the oil pump before start up until you see oil coming from the heads. this will make sure you have oil where you need it before you fire it up for the first time.
