    will JB weld withstand the heat of intake manifold?

    One of the main vacuum line stems broke of of the upper intake manifold this afternoon. I can get the metal tube to seat in there good, but I cant weld it. Would JB weld or epoxy melt from the heat if I seal around the tube?

    I just purchased a HV/HP oil pump for my re build but had a quick question. My buddy told me it will probaly blow out my freeze plugs if I dont tap them. Now this is a quick rebuild job and I dont really have the time to tap the freeze plugs, would I be better with a stock oil pump? Thanks
