OK, this is nuts 11.013 @ 126.51 mph stock pulleys!!!

Meat, Either you are Frank Zappa or you, yourself are a grouppie according to your aviatar!! Almo has never claimed to be anything than what he is, the prior record was a guy who did lots of weight savings, maybe not quite to the degree of Almo. By your own admission Almo can "row the...

OK, this is nuts 11.013 @ 126.51 mph stock pulleys!!!

You, know as I thought about it, I thought maybe meat was joking, but your second paragraph says it all. The quest for weight savings is just as impressive as massive HP goes 9.9's, maybe more so (certainly can cost less). As for wheather the car is still a terminator. It ceratainly does not...

OK, this is nuts 11.013 @ 126.51 mph stock pulleys!!!

Wow, Meat, wouldn't have figured you for the jealous type. Allen's car still has a very stock look interior, and behaves very nicely on the street. This is an accomplishment that we can all learn from, and should'nt be downtrodded because none of the rest of us have done it. What Allen...

OK, this is nuts 11.013 @ 126.51 mph stock pulleys!!!

To all of you who have been following ALMO quest for weight savings and the ET record for the cobra with stock pulleys -- he did it 11.013 @ 126.51 mph!!! You can see his weight saving mods in prior posts on this site. It just goes to show you that you can get to your goals through a variety...

how much would you pay for a 99 cobra salvage title

Don't pay much, I know of one for sale that had 13k miles on it that is for sale without engine and trans for 5k, the car is black and is in great shape. For more information call Excessive Motorsport in Manassas Park, VA. Torrey or Chris can tell you about it.

11.3 on stock lower and upper pulley no port

Wow!! Only this site got out the haters!!! Nothing in my post was incorrect, and as far as misleading I did not say that the car was bone stock, only that the motor, heads, upper and lowers were stock. The post was not designed to piss people off, but instead to prompt intelligent...

11.3 on stock lower and upper pulley no port

At MIR a little piece of history was made. ALMO ran an 11.3X at 122 mph with stock heads, non ported blower, stock upper and lower pulley!!! I would not have belived it if I hadn't seen it with my own eyes. The run was backed up with a 11.59 that was 2 tenhts slower on the 60 ft, so could...

    Blown fuel rail pressure sensor

ok, Seem to have a solution. KB makes a disc for stock fuel rail tha works. Problem is that CPR fuel rail, disc just falls throught the rail. So I got a 2 mm set screw, heated it up to red hot to untemper it, drilled it through with a 49/1000 ths bit and set in into the bottom of the FRPS...

It's Alive! Oh No, It's Alive! (with pics)

Acutally GT pumps are less expensive than BAP and allow a lot more through put. If you are allready changing out fuel lines etc, there is very little extra labor to put the new pumps in, and the wiring upgrade obviates any need for BAP with the bigger pumps.

    Blown fuel rail pressure sensor

Uncle Meat Just a follow up on the whole FRPS issue. KB and CPR make spacers help to eliminate the pressure spikes that high boost conditions can cause which routinely blow the FRPS. The spacer is does no more than to take the sensor out of the direct path of the pressure increast and...

    Blown fuel rail pressure sensor

Thanks Meat, Actually have a post on that site, but no help yet. I did see a mention on SVTPerformance about KB making a disc to prevent blowing FRPS. I will contact KB and let you know what I find out -- I posted here because you have been a big help in the past.

side effects of boost increase on 03/04 cobra

Eaton works OK up to 15-16 lbs boost, then experiences drop off and vastly increased heat with little or no gain in HP. Blower porting can allow the eaton to run 500 or RWHP with a 2.8 upper pulley and still do well, anything over that and you should consider a blower upgrade, whipple, KB etc.

    Blown fuel rail pressure sensor

I am on my 3rd fuel rail pressure sensor ( not 100% sure this terminology is correct, but should be close enough). I am thinking that some thing else is causing sensor to quit functioning. Anyone have this problem? What was the solution. Mods are in my sig.

what mod should i do first

I started with a good cold air kit and a 2.9 reichard racing pulley and a tune. With stock exhaust my car made 452/479 and was still as quiet as it was from the factory!! I skipped the port on the Eaton and went for the new Kenne Belle 2.8 after a few months. The moral of the story is go...

    Dyno numbers

Ported Eaton with 2.8 pulley etc should be around 500/500, some cars need injectors at this level some don't, but the tune is key.

New dyno and track times (03 SVT Cobra)

    Too many miles to supercharge?

I say decide if you want to keep the car or get the 03/04. Part of the decision can be based on a true leak down compression test. If the motor is getting bad, might be time to sell it and step up to the 03/04.

    a lil Terminator trivia

Any more trivia like that to post? That's great. Meat said that other parts had stickers that said terminator, does anyone know if any of the stickers would still be there after purchase etc.? If so what part?

Finally KB 2.8 numbers on stock motor!!

Wow, finally drove it. I can't imagine anything like this, power is unlike anything I have ever felt. Can't keep traction with 12 degrees of timing spins all the way through 4th gear ( I haven't even gone to 5th under load!!!).
