Hmm...why is the cobra cam [E303, yes?!] not that good? And which replacement, exactly, would you recommend?
Also, I forgot to mention after the stock exhaust manifolds, I'm running cat-less to an H-pipe then to Flowmaster 40 dumps.
Fair enough. If you would, why should I buy your lines over, say, a stainless braided line from Stoptech, Earls, etc.? Any chance for a discount on a 'group buy' for some of my fellow CMC cars?
Thanks everybody for your input. The national and regional directors are 'researching' this issue and I look forward to what they discover.
The latest information I have [as of today] is that we might be permitted to use different injectors, a new cam, and a different [or ported?] intake...
Ah, thanks. Unfortunately, the price is nuts! One can buy a stainless braided line kit with all three for $150 or less. But I will forward this link on nonetheless to the Camaro Mustang Challenge community for those interested in replacing their outside rear lines with OEM style lines...
I say 'low' only because some folks seem to think I should be putting down 15-20 more at the rear wheels with the Cobra motor.
Cam and porting. Unfortunately, I doubt the series directors will choose to allow the porting...maybe the cam, but doubtful. It's just very difficult to police...
260/300 rwhp/rwtq from a "stock" 5.0?!
I own a Camaro Mustang Challenge road race car and am working towards my competition license with NASA [Natl. Auto Sport Assn.]. The rules are changing in the next two seasons. Basically, not taking into consideration the weight of the car [around...
Alright folks I've had just about every piece of suspension on and off of the front of this car. Currently, it's 'back to stock' with the 'new' strut mounts as per the TSB. Not only do I still have the thunking noise, but every time I hit a bump the steering wheel jerks a little to the right...
I think a 1993 Escort station wagon would be quieter on the exhaust end of things ;-) It's actually a great little car...
But seriously +1 on the high flow cats. You could even have some welded in to your current setup, which is a cheap option if you can weld or know someone who can. Pypes...
Wonky indeed. I didn't slide the shaft through the bowl. I should have just pulled that 'shaft' out of there to do the work. DAMMIT. Oh well, can i get a new 'shaft' [lol, i keep thinking of beevis and butthead when I say that] or do I need a whole new dizzy?
