It is 6250RPM. The Moates Quarterhorse is another way to change it. Kinda of an interactive chip that allows data logging of the EEC-IV. This is what I use and I am 100% positive the rev limiter is set for 6250RPM.

It wasn't factory installed. It was a dealer installed accessory. Of course you could get it yourself from a Ford dealer and install it yourself. They were not cheap.

If the car is lowered you will most likely have to cut off a piece of the threaded portion. This is what I ended up having to do with mine. It seems pretty common.
