    Hooking up my radar detector

Mine's like your's and I did the same thing--wired it up wrong at first. I ended up hooking into almost every wire up there. I finally got it to work with the doors shut. I don't think any of them will turn off automatically on my car. I'm going to run a switched 12V wire to the fuse box...

    Is this a good supercharger?

Depends on what you want. The centri type superchargers (Paxton, Procharger, Vortech) are great for high rpm, but you won't notice much below 3000 rpm. Their boost is a function of rpm. The positive displacement superchargers like KB, Whipple, Roush, Saleen, Magnacharger, have full boost...

    Throttle lag for engine braking

Interesting idea, but I doubt it since my GTO was completely different. It probably had a lot more spinning mass than the 4.6. I can't imagine the flywheel is that much different. If it is, I may get a lighter flywheel... It just feels like this thing is on cruise control some times...

    Throttle lag for engine braking

Yeah, I knew it was intentional. Good to know that we can get rid of it. It may have something to do with emissions, but how does GM do it? I believe its called decel fuel cutoff on LS1's, and its what causes them to pop when you let off. I believe It completely shuts off the fuel on decel...

12V outlet in dash switched with the key?

For anyone keeping up with this thread, taking it apart went real easy. Just pull down pretty hard on the overhead lights and it will come apart. I'm working on the wiring now. Does anyone know what that electronic board in the overhead console is for? Are they the seat belt chimes or...

12V outlet in dash switched with the key?

I went out to hard wire it in, and can't figure out how to take apart the overhead lights. I'm not sure if I need to just pull on it, or if it needs to slide back then pull. Can anyone tell me? I tried a search, but can't find any specifics using "overhead" or "hardwire" as search words.

12V outlet in dash switched with the key?

Thanks! That sounds perfect, and should be easy.

12V outlet in dash switched with the key?

Anyone made their 12V outlet in the dash switched with the key? Anyone else annoyed about this?

    Throttle lag for engine braking

Yeah, I read it. I was mostly agreeing with you in the start of my second paragraph. But, your post wasn't specific enough for me to be sure that it will fix it. I did email Brenspeed about it--thanks for the suggestion. When most people talk about the throttle lag on these cars, its on...

    Throttle lag for engine braking

No, its a 5 speed manual... It just seems to take a while before the electronic throttle drops back down when you let off, when engine braking. I want the throttle to close exactly when I let off the gas. It feels like its on cruise control for 3 seconds or so, even when revved up to 3k or...

    Throttle lag for engine braking

Anyone ever noticed that when you are going down a hill, and you gear it down, the throttle is on some kind of "cruise control" for 3-4 seconds before you actually get to start using engine braking? Any hand held tuners that will help this? How about the more advanced laptop tuners like the...

12V outlet in dash switched with the key?

Is there an easy way to make the 12V power outlet in the dash so it is switched with the key? I have a radar detector and I have to either manually turn it off and on, or unplug it every time I get out of the car, or it will stay on all the time. Maybe I should hardwire it in like I did on...

    1st gear "jerky"

It may be clutch chatter. The clutch isn't engaging smoothly. Mine does it too, a little, and I've driven a lot of manuals and don't usually have any problems with them.
