    Suspension Confusion

Just an update... The car does have a MC bar and the Exort brace. Called a friend of the family that owns a body shop to see if we could put it on his frame rack and he passed me onto a older guy here locally that does unibody work on these cars. He knew exactly what I was talking about. He...

    Suspension Confusion

He's got the export brace on it, just can't remember about the MC bar. Is it still possible to add shims with the stock UCA bolts, or do they need to be longer? Kevin

    Suspension Confusion

My Dad has a 66 K-code fastback, we bought the suspension parts from Opentracker (very nice stuff by the way). When I pulled the upper control arms off I noticed that it had longer studs that someone had replaced in the past. They measured 3.250 inches and the parts from Opentracker was...

My Stang in Mustang's Unlimited Ads!!!!

I was at a Costco Warehouse store a few years back, I came across a Mustang book there. I automatically went to the 65-66 section. I open up to one of the first pages of the section and I'm looking at a 1966 Ivy Green Fastback that looks just like my Dad's. I see the WA plate "66kcode" and...

    69 torino information

I sure wish that I hadn't have sold my 69 I had in high school!! Anyway, the rear tailights on the fastback are a somewhat square unit with a chrome piece in between. The 70-71's had a long skinny set-up of tail light, kind of like the cougars. The 69 had the 428CJ option, in 70 they...

    How long is to long??

The engine in my car has been sitting inside my car in a shop for the last 15 years. It only had about 300 miles on it when it was parked due to a engine compartment fire. (stuck float) I have manually turned it over several times a year with no sticking issues. My question is should I...

    v.i.n. question

I as far as I know, Ford only stamped the 289HP in the k-code mustangs, the Boss 302's and the Boss 429's. Yours would not have the serial number in the block. You would have to check date codes to see if they are correct or not. Kevin

    Hidden antennas

Has anybody tried using a factory Ford/Lincoln electric antenae? They worked very well in those cars. It would take a plug and a little wiring but.......... Kevin

    Hidden antennas

My dad bought a fastback years ago, it had been repainted and the hole for the antena on the fender had been filled in. We lifted the center console and put the stock antena under there and it worked like a dream. And very clean looking too! Kevin

Curious about the negative battery cable

By taking off the negative first, it really limits the chance of any sparks, beause you have taken the grounding out of it. If the positive is taken off first, it's still grounded and will spark on the terminal. Average person in the shop, not really going to make a huge deal. BUT if it's...
