    96 V6 with no 1st or OD gear

    I have a 1996 V6 auto and have had a weird problem forever. The car takes off in 2nd gear and will not shift to OD. If I manually shift there is no difference going from 1st to 2nd gear but it does seem to shift from 2nd to 3rd. Sometimes it will not start in park and I have to move the gear...

    No CEL, the car just went completely dead for a second and popped back on, pretty wierd.

    Possible electronic or ignition switch problem

    On the way to work this morning my 96 V6 cut out 3 times. It was very brief. Eveything in the car went dead for about 1 second including the radio and dash clock. Everything would die for about 1 second max and then turn back on again. Any ideas??? Thanks in advance!
