    Coyote Swap

Hey Guys and Gals, It's been a spell since I've been on here . I've got a '99 V6 with approximately 66k miles on it. I'm on the fence about throwing in a 5.0 Coyote swap in it. Has anyone with a '99-'04 done this in their vehicle? I know it's not a direct swap so I'm wondering what other...

    Idle rpm issues

Hey guys, I'm posting this in the v8 forum since u guys tend to respond a bit faster. My 99 mustang is having some problems. When I start it and back down my driveway sometimes the rpm will stick at a higher idle when the clutch is in, until it warms up. Also, when I slow down and come to a stop...

    Quick Rearend Question

well it sounds like the t-lok with carbon discs is my best bet. because its going to be more of a street car with a few occasional strip trips. oh, and one more thing, do you guys know of the stock brakes on a v6 will bolt onto an 8.8?

    Quick Rearend Question

i was actually looking at a ford racing t-lok that has carbon discs. and since there's not a track anywhere near me, it sounds like the better deal...for the money anyways. but therein lies another problem, they are considering building a track here and i would be there every once in awhile but...

    Quick Rearend Question

the housing will most definately come out of a 99-04 GT. i don't think i will be hooking up the ABS, seems like it would be kind of a pain. as for the differential, how big of a difference is there between a ford racing t-lok and an auburn differential?

    Quick Rearend Question

sorry, i should have specified. i'm getting 31 spline axles AND 31 spline ford t-lok. i was just wondering about the spool. the car is still going to be street driven. so just stick with the axles and forget the spool?

coil and spark plugs wires question

I agree, I just put on my screamin demon coil pack and livewires about a week ago, fairly noticeable difference in get-up-and-go but not huge. I had to keep my stock plugs because we couldn't get the wires to go over the NGK's that I bought, so I just wound up opening the gap to .065. Google...

Just got a mustang, could use some suggestions.

I would definately start out with some new wheels like Red98 said. If you're looking for some relatively cheap mods i'd start with dual exhaust. Underdrive pulleys are a good addition, and maybe a handheld tuner. If you really want forced induction i'd go turbo, but its gonna cost you around...

    '87 rearend in a '99?

does anyone know if an 8.8 rearend out of an '87 5.0 will fit in a '99 v6? or what the dimensions on those rearends are? i can get one for dirt cheap and i desparately need to know if it will bolt up or if it will have to be cut and welded.
