    HEY GUYS, I JUST PURCHASED A NEW PCM FOR MY 01 GT. ALL THE NUMBERS ON THE UNIT MATCH SPECIALLY THE ID NUMBER (GIZ2 IN MY CASE). DOES IT NEED TO BE FLASHED OR REPROGRAMMED? APPRECIATE YOUR HELP.

    is that connector the one that goes bolted on? because i checked that one (the one w the bolt) and im getting continuity from the pins all the way to the cop connectors so what i think is that the problem might be somewhere between the computer to the female part of the connector.

    ok guys, new findings with no positive outcome. i got cilynders #1,2,3, and 7 dead..... checked all the plugs to the cops from the main plug (upper left on passengers side on the firewall) and found continuty on all of them. didnt find any spliced, chafed or melted wires that could be shorting...

    well, it just sits on my driveway overnight and its driven on a daily basis... i did chck the wiring visually, not extensively and didnt see anything obvious. i will look thorughly tom and will post findings. any other suggestions? thanks.

    I could use some HELP here guys..

    i would check the MAP sensor. since you moved from MO to TX, i dont know whats the elevation or difference (sea level), but sometimes, when u change, and the map sensor is bad, its not gonna automatically adjust to the new elevation ambient pressure and its gonna give you engine knocking.
