Will high flow cats quiet my car down?

Well the cats did the trick. The car is far from whisper quiet, but it's much much better now with the cats. Just much smoother and the drone is drastically better too. And sure enough right when I pulled out of the shop..the car just flat out felt different, to my delight. It just seems to...

Will high flow cats quiet my car down?

Thanks. I'll give it a shot. the cats should be here tomorrow. They are the compact ones as not much else would fit on the straight section of the prochamber. Just tired of the damn noise. The drone at around 2K rpm is just stupid and I'm tired of everyone knowing exactly when I leave and arrive...

Will high flow cats quiet my car down?

Currently have O/R Mac prochamber and Mac catback. I really want to quiet the car down some. I'm thinking of ordering two Magnaflow obdII compliant cats and having them welded in to the prochamber. My question is: How much quieter will this make my exhaust? If it's barely going to make any...

    4.10 and SpeedCal

That speedcal is roughly a $100 part I believe, right? Not to make light of $240, but for $340 or so you can buy a Sniper tuner, which will recal the speedometer and also allow you to tune the car and squeeze some more power out of it.

Need a little exhaust decision help

I have Mac catback and Mac O/R prochamber. It is not anything even remotely close to raspy. I think it sounds totally old school, completely awesome.

keep stock cat back / just change mid??

Changing to an O/R prochamber was what really made the big difference for me. I already had a Mac catback on it so I'm not sure how the prochamber would sound with the stock system. However, if I were you I'd keep the stock catback as is and try the midpipe and see how you like it. its pretty...

    SCT XCAL Brenspeed...thoughts?

I'm close to going forward with shelling out $379 for the "mail order" brenspeed tune. I Just wanna hear some thoughts from people who have done this as far as the power and performance gains you experienced from this. ive raed some people say they don't do much and that a dyno tune is the only...

    Prochamber Install..help me here please

So the passenger side is the doozy. I cannot remember wehre, but it seems like I read some people were removing the passenger tire and a plastic piece inside the wheel well and said the manifold studs were easily accessable right there. I think I do have a 10" extension, but no swivel and if...

    Prochamber Install..help me here please

Ok I've got a used prochamber. I did buy new nuts and bolts to replace the old ones, but didn't buy any new studs for the stock "header" where it meets the prochamber. I've already determined it would be a b**** to get those off. I will buy new nuts though. Is it really THAT hard to work the...

HP gain from MRT catted h-pipe?

love the quote. So you felt a good increase in torque with your midpipe?

HP gain from MRT catted h-pipe?

I have a Mac ss catback and jlt rai on my car. The catback I did not notice or expect a hp gain. The RAI I actually did notice some more pull on the top end. How much of a gain can I expect from a MRT catted h-pipe? The stock midpipe with those cats seems to be one of the more restrictive...

    Advice please on this midpipe

thanks guys. What's the verdict on the MIL's? seems Steedas have a good rep, but i read a lot of guys say theirs don't work. Are the front two O2 sensors on the stock "headers" or does the prochamber have hookups for these? the rear two I guess I'll hook up some MIL's and I guess coat with some...

    Advice please on this midpipe

I currently have a MAC SS catback and am very pleased with it. I'm considering the MAC O/R prochamber. Wanted to stay away from the raspy sound that the X pipes supposedly produce. Would this be a good combo? Also..with my catback I didn't necessarily see or expect any much in the SOTP power...

    Lost control @ 158MPH....:(

Once you are blessed with children you'll suddenly lose the urge to go 158mph as the thought of your kids burying their father will overcome any desire you have for speed.

    Weld in high flo Cats?

Does anyone do this? I have a Mac SS catback and wanting to upgrade the midpipe. I do not want to go O/R. Are the cats themselves the most restrictive part of the stock midpipe? If so, is there a high flowing universal cat on the market that can replace the factory cats with a weld in? Will...

New to the 4.6 and have some simple questions

The MGW is a lot "notchier" than the stock shifter. It "snaps" into gear, so it is much more crisp than the stock one, and of course the throws are a lot shorter. Give it some time though, it does work itself out and get much smoother.

    MAC SS Catback $429

Hmm..well the SS was only $59 more than the alumizined or whatever it is version of the MAC. I figured $59 was well worth it to go stainless. Went with the MAC, hope to get it bolted on today...so we'll see.

    MAC SS Catback $429

3.5" tips. Does it make a difference as far as the fitment?

    MAC SS Catback $429

good deal? ive read people had some issues with MAC quality and fitment, but this is full SS so should hold up pretty well, wouldn't you think? Anyone had any fitment issues with the SS MAC catback? 429 free shipping seems pretty dang reasonable.

    FR 4.6 PI Heads

I guess to clear it up the reason for my question is this: hypothetically say I'm one of those unlucky people and a few plugs blow out of the motor and I opt for new heads vs. trying to do a helicoil or whatever. If I choose to purchase the Jegs heads in question, am I putting on heads that are...
