you can bolt it up then put #1 tdc on compression and mark the crank pulley.....if memory serves me it doesnt locate as it should otherwise

i see the point your trying to make....but the tires i run are only 26 tall.....the mph as opposed to the rpm still stands....but you are right tire height makes a big diff and....but he didnt post his tire height:shrug:

4:10's with 295/35/18 bfg d/r's @70 im at 2700.....car went best of 12.67@106 with 1.59 60ft.......and also has no prob pegging the speedo.....but i will say the 4:10's are a little much for a dd but i do it and wouldnt even think of changing them plus the price you mentioned aint bad at all:nice:

i picked up a set of windsor jr heads for next to nothing....they have been lightly ported......any expereince with these heads......budget is really tight for toys so for me its run what you got......as of now its a built 306 (have a few cams), car has exhaust and a kit on it.....thats...

live in bridge city work in harvey.......mine is a 94......dont much care for the 4.6 unless you gonna run boost or spray it you'd be hard presed to get much out of it...5.0 on the other hand you can make a nice performer for a decent price....just my 2c...........

just make sure you drill the ens of the crack to stress releive it then larry luncheon meat could weld it....you handle the finishing so it looks perty:nice:

for what its worth my car is a 5spd:hide: the best 60 ft was a 2.0 something mph is 94ish yeah diff track diff times.....:shrug: but based on what ive seen from these cars near stock 14.5something aint bad..... guy who gets 13.anything in one stock or near well:hail2:

to be honest the 4:10 were to compliment the future mods i plan on.....the friction discs were gone so my true intent was an overhaul....occasionally a 1 wheel peel here....so i put the gears in also....as for the driver mod well i hold my own....i pick up et in most cars i get in over there...

when i bought the car the guy said it had 3:73's and when all i got out of it was a 14.56 i was a little disappointed.....so based on what i plan for the car i went ahead and stuck the 4:10's in and discovered the gears in the car were actually 3:27's....so now i figure not so bad.......what do...

if something breaks you may damage your new h/c....just my 2c

its a 5spd but the first time out my best was a 9.29 @74.4 with a 2.01 60ft... i think i can bring it down some i only made 4 runs that night...... good luck!
