Get full length weld on subframe connectors like the Steeda kit. They make a HUGE difference, even over the stock half length bolt ons on convertibles / Mach's (if they have them?). One of the best mods you can do.

I second the catback option. My theory is if you are going to do it, do it right the first time. Sure it may cost a bit more upfront but the overall product will be nicer.

The stock speakers are components but I don't think you "need" to do that. It's nice in this car because it looks like you could easily remove the top tweeters and not have the car look weird.

Do you guys replacing the speakers just pop in new speakers for the default amps? Any idea what ohm rating would be best? I want to add a new headunit and speakers but don't really feel like putting new amps and such in (at least now).

I actually had a S197 for about a year and sold it and went back to an 02. Don't get me wrong, the S197 is literally a superior car in every way from a technical standpoint, however I really feel some of the Mustang spirit was lost. And it is just too big of a car. I enjoy my 02 a lot more :)

I got some JD weld to fix the cracked MAF housing and got a replacement off ebay for $75 just in case. I figure worse case, if the JB weld works good I have a part that I'll need at some point anyway.

You could get an acufab throttle body, I've heard they are good for about 5-10 hp.
