    So it sounds like it will work. He gave it to me mounted in a fox body sending unit. It was a little crooked in there but it fit so hopefully I can make it work. Worst cast I just sell it and get the right one.

    I bought a Walbro 255 lph in tank fuel pump from a guy for my 93 GT. When I inspected it closer I noticed the part number was GSS342 which indicates 96-97 Cobra. I notice there is another part number on Walbro's site GSS340 which says it's for Mustang 85-97. Anyone know what the difference is...

    I had the same exact problem you are describing. When I would pull up to a stop sign or stop light my RPM's would raise for no reason with the clutch pushed in. Vacuum leak was the culprit for me. I addressed it and never had the problem again.

    The hydraulic lifters are probably no longer preloaded or filled with oil. If that's the case then the push rods would push down into them pretty easy. Should not be an issue once you start the car and the lifters fill with oil again.

    belt sizing

    Just use your old belt. cut it, route it and mark the overlap, then lay it flat on the ground and measure it with a tape measure from one end to the mark you made. Best way I've found to be completely accurate.

    We tackled this today. With the cam installed straight up we were close on the clearance. Intake was fine and exhaust was a little too close for comfort. We retarded the cam slightly and have plenty of clearance on the intake and exhaust now. Guess I'm keeping the cam :D
