High HP 4.6 Build - Need Suggestions

No Thanks and MACHINE SHOPS!!! That sounds tempting but like our friend said - somthing doesn't sound right about that, AND I have to take the build one step at a time - not only for my own satisfaction of building the engine myself, but also to stick to a budget that definitly wouldn't allow...

High HP 4.6 Build - Need Suggestions

Wow! Thanks a lot for the info so far - really glad to hear that. But keep throwing names of machine shops my way. I will check out Victory Engines though. I don't mind shipping it.

High HP 4.6 Build - Need Suggestions

So I just got done tearing down a 2000 Crown Vic Police Interceptor engine that I got my hands on. As it's obviously a non-P.I. motor, the only thing I'm using is the block and I'm going to sell the rest cheap (the motor was in great shape). My plans are to do a forged/supercharged build to...

    Cop Motor tear down....

Good info... Good Info... The block in the Mark 8 is actually identical to the Cobra block (same block I think) but for what I'm going to do this block will hold strong. More importantly though, can someone tell me where there's a good machine shop that I can send the block to? I need a...

    Cop Motor tear down....

Let's Clear a Few Things Up First of all, I'm using the block - that's it. I'm going all forged internals, and a Vortech Centrifugal blower (not sure which one yet). And obviously nobody has to tell me how slow they are, I've had my share of runs with cops in a stock '96 GT. Second, to the...

    Cop Motor tear down....

I am currently tearing down the motor from a police interceptor, and I'm not sure what year the motor is? Here is the serial number to the right side head of the motor, can someone verify if this is P.I. On top it says.... 29...S73 RF-F5AE-6090-B22A We are almost down to the block me...

PI swap and Motor Build Questions!

...well then First of all, I should have been more specific. I'm not sure if it's a 2000. It might be an '01 or '02. But what markings would be on the head to indicate whether or not they're PI? I never saw the car this motor came out of so that's out of the question... Thanks.

PI swap and Motor Build Questions!

Hey guys - first of all, I'm new to the forums but not to Mustangs (pic of mine coming soon). I have a couple questions - here's the deal: I own a 1996 Mustang GT convertible, OBVIOUSLY non PI. Now I have 2 other engines, one is from a 1997 Crown Vic (not sure what I'm doing with that one yet)...
