Hey guys - first of all, I'm new to the forums but not to Mustangs (pic of mine coming soon). I have a couple questions - here's the deal: I own a 1996 Mustang GT convertible, OBVIOUSLY non PI. Now I have 2 other engines, one is from a 1997 Crown Vic (not sure what I'm doing with that one yet), but the other one is from a 2000 Crown Vic Police Interceptor. That one has a good set of PI heads and intake on it. The block is going to be sent out to be bathed and machined for a forged / supercharged build that I'll post about from time to time. The question is, where in the NJ/NY/PA area is there a reputable shop where I can have the heads ported and polished before I throw cams and valves in them? And what can I expect to pay for a port and polish? I'm going to use them on the current motor in the vert to give me some more balls while I'm building the beast. Thanks.

are you sure the 2000 Police Interceptor motor has PI heads on it? because they didnt get them from the factory until 2001, unless my parts lookup and every parts lookup at every ford dealer is wrong.

I was going to chime in and say that as well.

2001 was when the vic got the PI stuff..not 2000. Doesnt matter if it was the police interceptor model or not. Same engine

    ...well then

First of all, I should have been more specific. I'm not sure if it's a 2000. It might be an '01 or '02. But what markings would be on the head to indicate whether or not they're PI? I never saw the car this motor came out of so that's out of the question... Thanks.
