haha the factory ford muffs are still working for me for now. I redid my intake tube which really smoothed out the idle and installed a mishimoto radiator to keep cool in the 100* + temps. I am very happy with the way it has turned out. It feels like it is performing very well!

Hey guys back with and update. The motor is back in. with .030 shims the rockers torqued down at about 1/4 to 3/8 of a turn, too little preload for me. the valve train sounds like poo. I ordered some 6.300 comp cam push rods. Here are some pics and a little vid just for you nick port matching...

Still sounds like the same symptoms as I had, did you wiggle the wire going into the fan motor? After opening mine up I found that the brushes were worn causing not to work on low speed.......

I have been thinking of doing a complete urethane bushing kit. What are your concerns about the harder bushing? My stang has 177xxx mi. and could benifit from some new bushings and I have never had the luxury of comparing it to a stang with a "tighter" suspension or anything with urethane...

My fan would work on and off, overheating at idle due to the short, I wiggled the plug and that's how i found it. Hope you get it straightened out. Here is a pic of them gauges, home made of course.
