Hey guys, It seems like variable displacement systems, such as those being advertised like Chrysler's MDS and Mercedes Benz Active Cylinder Control are beginning to come of age, and I was wondering if anyone knew if there was an aftermarket system similar to these?

I'm starting a rebuild of my engine and want to make sure all the parts are protected as I work on the project. I'm in Louisiana, so rust is a big problem and was wondering what's the best way to ensure that all the parts are protected? Thanks, John

Mustang5L5, That looks to me like the best way as well. I always jacked the car up from the sides, but it's too tedious, having to switch sides to avoid having the jack stands uneven. I just wasn't sure where they were putting the jack on the TV. Thanks :)

I've noticed a lot of the car shows on spike tv show them jacking up the car from a central point under the engine. I assume it's either on the engine or on the transmission? Is that a safe way to raise the car?

okay, seems like it should be obvious but I'm lost as to how to pull the clutch cable from the bell housing on my 93 2.3L. It's got a plastic retainer that shows no signs of being able to be unscrewed - isn't just popping out and I don't want to destroy it... anyone give me some tips to get...
