Love the rims, they look sweet. Cant decide if I want a 2005-2009 GT or buy a cobra kit car, but either way, I love both. By the way, is your wife single - HEHE, just kiddin : )

    Crazy ground question!!!

Ok, rebuilt my motor, put in, everything is hooked up, then I noticed an orange wire laying free out of my wiring harness. Could not figure out what it was but assumed it went to the end that was still attached to the end, whoops, must have forgot to disconnect it. So looked on here, found out...

    Bolt Torque help

You need oil clearance for the oil to get between the rod bearing and the crank or it would be rubbing metal to metal. You probably will have proper oil clearance anyway but if not read the book, find out the specs and go buy some for $2 and do the build right. It is a very easy process and...

Can't figure this out, really need help.

Well, I unhooked the battery, hooked it back up. Car started good, let off the clutch and it did not stall. Seems like some kind of a saftey feature. The car will start and run cold but when it warms up it wants to stall and eventually will and will not restart until it cools down. I believe the...

    Bolt Torque help

I just rebuilt my motor this month and torqued mine to 22lbs. I had stock rods and stuff though. Oil clearance is the concern, should be the same.

Can't figure this out, really need help.

I've been working on my 88 5.0. When I start it, it runs good but as soon as I let off the clutch it stalls. Nothing I do stops it. It has never done this before and just started the other day. Is there some kind of adjustment with the saftey switch or something that may have gotten out of wake...

    fuel injectors

Might be easier and cheaper to buy some injectors off ebay, I have some stock 19lbs if you want them, sell them for cheap.

    Bolt Torque help

19-24lbs then use a plastic gauge. I think it is like 0.0006-0.0014. But check the book for oil clearence. Should be the same. Rods do not get that much, the main caps get torqued higher, but your probably past that point.

    New motor, stall with clutch???

So I have been trying to tune a new motor. Rebuild 302, GT40P heads, GT40 intake, E303 cam, Pro-M 80mm w/ 30lb injectors, Paxton SN89 SC, and some other minor stuff. I have been having issues with timing and running right, just picking away at it. Today, had it running and idling good, but...

    5W30 in a 302 '68?

I just talked to Alternative in Michigan, my dyno place. He told me to run 5W oil in my 302. I thought it was strange, but he knows more than I do.

    Drag radials

yeah, a buddy has it but he rubs occasionally. No biggie though.

    Intake threads????

I have tried looking for the answer to this but had no luck. I am putting a GT40 intake on and I tapped the 3/8"NPTs but I needed to change the coolant hose on the back center of it and screwed up the threads taking the explorer hoses off, the intake is corroded bad. I need to tap it a little...

    Wow ridiculous...

I would have spent the money on a paintjob so it was all one color. I think it would be an awsome car if it had other rims with some drag radials or something. Did you notice he took out the plastic wheel wells, cant run them with 24s or what? If you wanna stunt, get at me!!!!

    Rings wont fit.

I know this is an old thread but I am going to post for future reference. Shiny rings go on top, dull go in the middle. The box will also say this on the lips. I picked up E-458K and they did not fit my car? Too big.

    How wide is too wide?

I have 285/35/18 and I could go a little taller and wider if I wanted. You should be ok. May rub your quads, but f-it. Dont know how skinny you can fit on 9" rims, if 245 fit 235 should work as well. Do the math and take some measurments. If you dont know the equations for tire size look it up...
