thats wierd, i hope it turns out alright, at least mufflers aren't real expensive!

no hp gain well i seriously doubt there would be ANY hp gain because the driveshaft has nothing to do with adding any horses, its OFF the motor and deals with putting the power to the tires, it should add some torque but no hp.

is the muffler clamped on? when i messed with my exhaust i had that problem, the clamp loosened and rattled, it felt tight to me, and the bolts seemed tight, but i guess there was just enough space between the pipes to cause an annoying loud rattle during acceleration and sometimes at idle...
