Ok, so I'm new to the mustang world, just got mine this summer. So far the only thing i have done is a CAI. Now I'm confused and don't know what to do next. My car is an 03 GT, Would it be best to get a catback (someones offering to put one in for 300), or some 4.10 gears (I have a mechanic friend who will help put them in, not sure how much he will charge). just wanted some other opinions. also, is a 3" catback worth it, or should i just go with mufflers for now?

also i forgot to add that the catback would just be whatever the shop offers so i dont know exactly what it would sound like, but it was recommended by a friend. i'm on about a $350 budget.

I'd say that gears are the very best bang for the buck you can get. You may also want an aluminum drive shaft at the same time. HUGE difference in performance.

Was just on same budget with my 03 GT, had CAI already and saved up $375.. went with a sct tuner.

I would say gears, but then you need to have some way to correct the speedo, and if it's an auto, correct the shift points. SpeedCal will do that, but in my opinion, if you're planning on continuing modding, you'll replace it with.

So, in working towards gears, I would also say to buy a tuner. You won't see a huge gain from it, but it sets you up nicely for whatever you do in the future.

gears are definately your biggest bang for your buck. i put 4.10's in mine (before the kb) and it made a huge difference for my n/a car. im still happy with them even with my kennebell. your going to need to get a hand held for it though, so you can adjust your speedo. plus it gives you a few more horsepower, and you can tighten up the shifts.
